Artist Statement

I believe with a great community, strong education, and a healthy heap of dedication anyone can become a dancer. In my time at Loyola with all of these I have become an unrecognizable dancer. Dance has been amazing for me, and I am a much better person with dance in my life.

These are the applied dance classes I took this semester

Ballet 5

Ballet 5 has opened my mind about what ballet is, and how when ballet can work for me instead of me working for ballet

Modern 3

In Modern 3 I have learned so much about the body kinesthetically, in both Graham and Post-Modern.

Pointe 2

Pointe 2 has worked my fast twitch muscles, given me the chance to partner, and worked my intrinsic foot muscles. I have never formally learned a variation before it has been an amazing experience

jazz 3

Jazz has always been my stomping ground. It feels so good to come back and push myself harder and ask for more when I feel I cannot.

I loved learning non Western forms of dance. I loved learning Dunham technique as well as

I worked in the costume shop again this semester, I really enjoyed working during MainStage making costumes for dance.
